Delete your Reins account
Reins, by Daniil Katulevskiy
You can delete your Reins account and the data our server holds for it at any time, in the app or by email. This page explains how, and what is deleted.
Delete it in the app
In the Reins app on your phone, open Settings → Delete account and confirm. Your account and everything our server holds for it are deleted (see What is deleted), and the app signs out and erases its data on that phone.
Or ask us by email
- From the email address you sign in to Reins with, write to privacy@reins2fa.com with the subject "Delete my Reins account". If you can't use that address, tell us which address your account uses and we will confirm the request with you another way.
- We confirm that the request comes from you, delete the account, and reply when it is done, within 30 days and usually much sooner.
To remove only your waitlist sign-up, write to the same address from the address you signed up with.
What is deleted
- your account: email address, name, sign-in identifier and sign-in sessions;
- your devices and your approval-phone registration, including its push token;
- your AI connections and their tokens;
- your encrypted keys, your encrypted password vault and the encrypted copy of your phone's Reins data;
- your waitlist sign-up, if you have one.
What is kept, and for how long
- Server backups roll over and are gone within 14 days of the deletion.
- Web server logs (IP address, time, requested address) are deleted within 14 days.
- Anything we are required to keep by law, only for as long as required.
Your sign-in account at WorkOS, our sign-in provider, is deleted together with your Reins account. Accounts you connected in the app, such as Google, GitHub or Telegram, are yours and are not deleted; see below to disconnect them.
On your phone
- Signing out of the Reins app, or uninstalling it, deletes all Reins data on that phone, including the credentials for your connected services.
- To revoke Reins's access to your Google account, visit myaccount.google.com/connections. Other services have similar settings.
See the privacy policy for everything Reins collects and why.
